Beloved ones,

Statistics has it that 360 million people suffer from audition deficiency in the world and that number includes 32 million children. Big as that number may look, it is but 5% of the world population. This means that the remaining 95% like you and I can hear very distinctly and much clearly what is said around us and from a certain distance. Glory be to God! And though our audition faculty might be at its best, there are people in our midst who can hardly hear Jesus’ knock at the door or our hearts, simply because their spiritual ears have been blocked.

It is indeed a fact nowadays that a wide range of things contribute to preventing us from hearing God’s voice. Sin in its various manifestations, lack of meditation of the word of God, too much focus on earthly things which blind us with their glittering sparkle, etc. act as many bottlenecks in our spiritual ear-drum. As a result, though our physical ears may meet any medical testing, the connection of our spiritual ears with our divine father is affected by so many interferences that ultimately prevent us from hearing and communing with him.

One of the most sophisticated approaches the devil uses to slowly kill Christians or methodically quench their zeal is to negligibly put some baits on their way to divert their attention to physically valuable but spiritually worthless things. Once their spiritual ears are reduced to a gadget status, the devil now starts his destructive work underneath; he does this so imperceptibly that the Christian does not take notice of it and will only realizes the evil when there is little to no hope of recovery.

My brother and my sister, shall you pause for a minute and examine your life? This message is a wake-up call to bring you from the sleep in which you have dived. What is blocking your ear-drum and preventing you from hearing the voice of your savior? Be bold enough and put a stop to it now. Throw caution to the wind and please take action now! Somebody once wrote that “what you fail to put a stop to will eventually put a stop to you, to your fantastic destiny”. Please don’t let that be your portion. Jesus is still at the door of your heart, lovingly knocking and patiently waiting for you to open. Shake yourself and answer him now.
