Where are you?

Where are you?

“But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” Gen. 3: 9.

Beloved one, that’s the question God asked Adam after, under the malicious suggestion of the Snake, Eve and he committed their infamy in the Garden of Eden, by eating the forbidden fruit. That act of disobedience will keep them far from God with all the subsequent consequences. That question “where are you?” which God made to Adam is not linked to a space but is an existential question. God was much less interested in where physically Adam was in the Garden of Eden than by where he stood with regard his obedience to what he forbade him to do.

No need to remind you that we are already in the last painful days when many are falling down, fainting in their Christian race. Good character has been replaced by Charism and holiness is no longer of interest to everybody. Love of the majority is shying away and sin is becoming something people are proud of, even in the midst of Christians. Although many giants are rising to conquer the world for Christ, the bad wind is uprooting many big trees of faith. Churches are filled with all sorts of scandals and abominations throughout the world to the point of even affecting those who were considered yesterday as the pillars of the temple, the baobab of faith. Many of them have sunk in the mud of sin thereby becoming “old Christians”. Although some are still going to church, they have become spiritual wrecks, completing the numbers, licensed syncretists, thereby compromising the holiness they have been called for.

In that atmosphere of demotion and common and growing apostasy, today God is calling each of us through the same question: “Where are you?” So beloved one, where are you? Where are you in your Christian walk? Where are you in the Church? Where are you in your household? Where are you in the company? Where are you in your commitment with God? Where are you when you believe? Where are you today? Where are you in your workplace? Are you really doing what you have been called for where God put you?

We need to examine ourselves, complete an introspection, a spiritual radioscopy of our life and honestly respond to the above questions to bridge any gap and repent… if necessary for the Lord is coming back soon
