Martial KOUNOU

“He found him in a desert land (…)” Deuteronomy 32:10.

Beloved,

It could surprise many to read that God found Moses. Is it possible that the Omnipresent, the Omniscient and the Omnipresent God did not know the whereabout of one of his creatures? Certainly not. Genesis 3:9 reads “Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?””?

The truth is that our God is all-knowing and there is nothing under the sun that escapes his attention. In Psalms 139:7-10, David wrote “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, you are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me.”

God was asking Adam that rhetorical question simply to mean that Adam was not where He had placed him. The Almighty was expecting to see Adam in a place and when, according to his customs, he came into the garden, he could not see him there. Unlike Adam, look at what God said about David in Psalms 89:20: “I have found My servant David; With My holy oil I have anointed him”, meaning that David was where God expected him to be.

Beloved, are you where God placed you or have you allowed circumstances of life and bad companies to relocate you? Please understand that the company you keep determines what accompanies you. For example, Potiphar was blessed for Joseph’s sake (Genesis 39:5); Laban was blessed for Jacob’s sake (Genesis 30:27) and Lot was blessed because of Abrahamic covering (Genesis 13:5-6).

For you to receive what the Almighty has in store for you, it is necessary that you be where he placed you. Although God’s grace is everywhere, it can only work for you where his hand has placed you. If therefore you move from that location without his permission or endorsement, you may be moving outside his covering, and this can only be to your detriment. If you don’t believe this, ask Lot. By the time he left Abraham’s covering, he stepped into serious trouble.

Today, with his oil in the hand, God is looking for you to anoint you. Will He find you where He placed you? Cry out to Him and let his wind blow to relocate you where He will find you.
