“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 3: 28

Beloved,

As Christians, we should yearn to be in the presence of God, in the place where we behold His glory, receive deeper revelation of Kingdom matters, loose ourselves and become one with him. When we become one with Jesus, he takes away our infirmities and occupies our thoughts. We become dead to the things of this world and understand that the world has nothing to profit us.

Understanding the things of the spirit is crucial in a world that is becoming more and more aggressive. Battles amongst nations, confusion, anarchy everywhere. We need to understand the times of this world and know that the riches of this world are nothing compared to the blessings of God. To do this, we must love the Lord our God with all our heart and mind. We must see His ways and seek his presence. We should enter His rest. We must read his word, pray to the Father to give us the Holy Spirit that quickens us up.

Our Lord Jesus told us that men ought always to pray and not faint. A heartfelt prayer transforms us, transfigures us to divine beings, provides us the platform to receive from God. He himself promised us that if we ask the father of anything he will give it to us. But most Christians are living the ordinary Christian life. We are in the desert and wilderness, going to church and praying as a ritual rather than reach God, praying amiss as we ask for the things that the heathen ask for. We become dry, desolate and empty such that we go to him without our heart. As He said in the book of Isaiah 29:13 “these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men”, we do the ritual of going to church and praying without our heart.

From the book of Exodus to the book of Revelation, the one thing that God desires is to give our heart to Him, to surrender our souls and spirit to Him so that He takes over because God requires our heart our praise so that He will commune with us and we will be like him.
