Martial KOUNOU

“So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”” Ezekiel 22:30
After God had created man and woman, among other orders he gave them was that they should have dominion over every living thing that moves upon the earth (Genesis 1:28). Thus, when it comes to operating on earth, by reason of that delegation to (wo)man, God needs a (wo)man to exercise dominion. This is because all words that proceed from the mouth of God is law which he himself submits to. Let’s see through a few examples.
When the human nature got corrupted by sin, and God purposed to end animal sacrifice known for their limit (covering sins rather than removing them), he needed to send somebody to die. After Jesus had accepted to come and fulfill that promise, there was need for God to find a human being that would willingly lend her womb to welcome the Savior. When you read the dialog between Angel Gabriel and Mary, you may first see the grace bestowed on a human being. However, by the time you dive deeper into the analysis of that discussion, it will become obvious to you that you are witnessing a pure negotiation process. If at that point Mary had then refused, God would assuredly have looked for another girl. But, if there had been none, salvation would probably have never happened.
Another example is God’s discussion with Moses when he wanted him to go to Egypt to save Israel. Despite all the excuses Moses was giving even to the point of exasperating God, the Almighty continued discussing, providing assurance over assurance to Moses to decide him to take the “job”. We find another similar pattern with Gideon when God laid his choice on him to deliver Israel from Midian. However childish and immature Gideon’s questions to God then appeared, God answered them patiently as would anyone trying to strike a deal.
The above examples and many more in the Bible only demonstrate one thing: as powerful as God is, for him to operate on earth, he needs a (wo)man. He is willing and ready to use you if only you would fulfill the condition of being a vessel of honor unto him. In his current assessment of who to use, how will He find you? My prayer is for Him to find you worthy for his use.
