“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.” Jeremiah 30:17 KJV
When we speak about healing and deliverance, we often limit it to freedom from demonic oppression. But true healing and deliverance begin with understanding who God is and the nature of His goodness.
God promised to deliver us from our enemies (Luke 1:71–75). That deliverance comes through revelation—through knowing His Word. In Joel 2:28–29, Jeremiah 31:33–34, and Isaiah 53, we see that restoration, forgiveness, and healing flow from understanding God’s covenant and His redemptive plan.
The Apostle Paul reminds us that “it pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe” (1 Corinthians 1:21). Salvation comes by hearing and receiving the message of Christ. What must we understand? That Christ died for our sins (1 Corinthians 15:3). He was the sacrifice for our iniquities, and “the chastisement of our peace was upon Him” (Isaiah 53:5).
We must also understand that Christ is seated far above principalities and powers (Ephesians 1:20–21). Knowing who He is reveals who we are in Him.
Jesus declared that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins (Mark 2:10). He also said, “If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven” (John 20:23). This shows the authority entrusted to believers. Furthermore, He has given us authority over the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).
Revelation reminds us that He has redeemed us by His blood from every tribe and nation (Revelation 5:9). And Jesus declared, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me” (Matthew 28:18), and we are commissioned in that authority. “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven” (Matthew 16:19).
Therefore, healing and deliverance are rooted in revelation—understanding Christ’s finished work. The world offers nothing lasting (1 John 2:15–17), but true rest is found in faith in Yahweh (Hebrews 4:9–11).
Healing and deliverance flow from knowing Him, believing His Word, and walking in the authority He has given us.
