“All things work together for good to them that love God” Romans 8:23
Beloved,
It is in the human nature to want to dwell in our comfort zone. Most of us disdainfully look at anything that disturbs our routines, challenges our assurance and is likely to shake us. An employee would at first scorn at the new supervisor who wants him/her to perform new assignments or to deliver his usual work in a different way; the little child would cry to the top of his voice the day he has to leave the comfort at home to venture to school. It is scientifically proven that nothing moves until it is pressured.
In contrast, we all want to grow, to experience new, better and bigger things, to achieve our goals, to fulfill our dreams. To usher us into our destinies, sometimes God has to allow some trials to befall us. A motion is then initiated without our consent. That motion is generally painful and not everyone will accept the trouble it comes with. However, those who sustain such tussle and bustle, willingly or reluctantly find themselves propelled into realms that sometimes fulfils both their own dreams and God’s plan for their lives.
I’m very sure that Joseph would not have willingly left the family cocoon if he had gently been asked to! To fulfil his dream, the Lord had to allow that his brothers sell him. His personality got toughened thanks to the tests and trials that he went through and which, unknown to him, were building his leadership capability in prelude to his ascension as the number 2 of Egypt.
Also, when Jesus was leaving this earth, his instructions to his disciples were clear: they had to spread the gospel everywhere. However, once they got filled with the Holy Ghost, they were all in Jerusalem and would probably have stayed there for a long time if the Lord had not allowed persecution on them. From then, some of them fled to other communities and towns where they started fulfilling their master’s mandate.
My brother and my sister, please pause a few minutes and check if what you are going through now is not peradventure God’s hand to usher you into your destiny.
