“ (…) The LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God (…)” Genesis 17:1
Oftentimes, when the Almighty has used different soft approaches to bring a loved child that is on a perdition path back to himself, he will allow the fellow to go through some kinds of tough challenges. During that season, the people the fellow counts on most will turn their back on him; the money he shifted his trust on will vanish mysteriously; his own intelligence and wisdom will fail him; the heaven above him will be like an ion cover while the earth he is treading upon will look like brass. The said challenge will try the fellow so much so that he will have no option but come back to God. That is a school of renewal orchestrated by God Himself as the ultimate method to bringing his prodigal son back home.
Beloved, while the fellow is going through that experience, you may be tempted to lend him a helping hand to sooth his pains and reduce the hardship of his trial. If you do without this being an express prompting from God himself, you are stepping into a grinding machine and it will take God’s mercy to save you. Take for example the case of the prodigal son, who has wasted what he received from his father. Let’s assume that a generous (wo)man met with him and decided to provide for all his needs. Although that looked like a good action, it will ultimately prevent the prodigal son from learning the lesson from his behaviour and will delay him from entering into himself and making up his mind to go back to his father.
A man of God shared a testimony where he said he saw a brother experiencing very difficult time. Little did he know that this was the Lord’s doing to teach that brother some lessons and bring him back to his savior. As the man of God started helping that brother, God told him: “Have you asked me before you start helping that brother? I am currently taking him through the school of renewal but you have decided to sabotage my plan. Since you want to be the El Shaddai, you shall die”. The Man of God quickly acknowledged his mistake, apologized to God and retraced his steps from that helping venture. From that day, he would not help anyone however able he thinks he is if he is not expressly instructed to do so.
God bless you!
