A man, whom we will call John, desired to obtain a visa to travel to America. He carefully gathered all the required documents and completed every step of the application process. Several of his friends decided to apply alongside him so they could travel together.
When the visa decisions were released, John's friends each received a two-year visa, but John's application was denied.
His friends were surprised by the outcome. Assuming that some important document must have been missing from his application, they carefully reviewed everything he had submitted. To their amazement, John's documentation was more complete and comprehensive than theirs.
Neither John nor his friends could explain what had happened.
Two years later, John decided to apply again, hoping that things would be different this time. Coincidentally, the visas issued to his friends had expired, so they all went through the application process once more.
To their shock, the same pattern repeated itself.
John was denied again, while his friends were approved, even though they had never used the visas they had received previously.
Neither logic nor effort seemed sufficient to explain the repeated outcome.
Beloved, when a particular negative occurrence repeats itself consistently over time, it should prompt serious reflection and prayer. Rather than becoming discouraged, believers should seek God's wisdom, guidance, and intervention. Sometimes the greatest battles are not won merely through human effort but through persistence in faith, prayer, and dependence on God.
Scripture reminds us that our struggle is ultimately spiritual and that victory comes through the power of God. When challenges persist despite our best efforts, we must draw closer to the Lord, seek His direction, and remain steadfast in prayer.
Do not accept defeat simply because a challenge has occurred repeatedly. Bring every concern before God. Trust Him to reveal what needs to change, to open doors that no one can shut, and to break every barrier standing in your way.
Let your testimony be one of perseverance rather than surrender. Fight the good fight of faith. Leave a legacy of trust in God, courage, and spiritual steadfastness for those who come after you.
May the Lord strengthen you, give you wisdom in every battle, and grant you victory according to His perfect will.
God bless you.
