A man of God shared this testimony during an outreach in Brescia (Italy). He said that he was in a country for the work of God. When he arrived, he was informed that he would be accommodated in an over 40-storey-hotel with his room on the 27th floor. But there was one key issue, the lift was not working and he would have to use the stairs. He said he did not mind getting down using the stairs. But the effort going up to the 27th floor was really huge and during his two days in that country, he was assessing in his mind the number of times he would have to go up and down.
After the first day of his program, he said he was in his room lying on his bed when, a few minutes before 11 pm, the Holy Spirit asked him to sit up. He obeyed. Then the Holy Spirit asked him to put something on. Though a bit surprised, he obeyed and was about to wear something very decent when the Spirit said: “Not that, wear something casual and go downstairs; I have a message for you.”
Having used the stair to come up that evening, the Man of God knew he was done with that sport for that day. God’s instruction now required him to go for a remake. He said he was not happy but obeyed.
When he got to the reception, the Holy Spirit said: “Go out, cross the road; of the girls that are there, there is one called Tonia. Go to her for I have a message for her.”
The Man of God replied: “oh Lord, you know I’m a Pastor. Go out this late and discuss with that girl! Hum! I can’t do that.” He thought quickly of how best he could proceed. He went to the receptionist of the hotel and asked her to cross the road and ask the girls by the road which one was Tonia! The receptionist looked at the Pastor with surprised and whispered: “Pastor!!!” But the Man of God just insisted so that she would carry out his instruction.
When Tonia came, the Man of God asked “Are you Tonia”, “Yes, I am Tonia” she replied and started walking in a way that was meant to seduce the Man of God whom she mistook for a potential client. By then, one of the girls with whom Tonia was by the road had rushed in asking, “Tonia, have you already agreed the price with the client?”
After Tonia had shown up, the word came from the Lord for her: “You lost your parents at 16 and since then you have been on the street. You are now 24 years and you have already aborted 14 times….”
Under the shock of the revelation, Tonia’s bag slipped from her hand together with her mobile phone. The mate that joined and who knew Tonia and many things about her life was bewildered by the revelation from God’s servant; she immediately got to her knees and begged the Man of God to pray for her. He prayed a simple prayer for her, as he had not received any particular message from the Lord for her. The Receptionist, who had been observing what was happening, also rushed to the Man of God, saying: “I’m the one that called Tonia; please pray for me as well.” The Man of God prayed for her.
As the Man of God was considering how to walk to his room on the 27th floor, Tonia called him saying: “I don’t know you. But can I please have your phone number?” The Man of God looked back at her thinking “it is because of you that I have to come downstairs at this late hour and walk up again now.” He wanted to refuse but the Lord said:
“Give her your number.
“Why, Lord?” the Man of God asked.
“Don’t commonize what I have specialized. I have a plan for that girl and that is why I have asked you to come down and minister to her”.
The Man of God completed his program in that country and went back to Nigeria. Two years later, he said that he was in Nigeria when he saw a number calling him from Russia. He picked and it was Tonia.
“Please, do you remember me? My name is Tonia”.
“No, I don’t” said the Man of God “Who are you?”
She introduced herself to the Man of God who suddenly remembered and asked:
“Oh, so you have now exported your business to Russia?”
“No, Sir” replied she “I am married to a Pastor and we are in Russia. We have just had our first baby and we decided to name him after you. But my husband asked that we confirm with you first if you are fine with that.”
“Of course,” said God’s servant.
God’s servant, who had never gone to Russia by then for a program, called another pastor who was in Russia. He asked him if he knew the Pastor who was Tonia’s husband and the Pastor confirmed that God was working powerfully through his ministry.
