A restaurant employed a few waitresses, among whom were Jane and Rebecca.

Rebecca was born into a family where her mother, a fervent Christian, kept telling her that the world we live in is very spiritual and she constantly invited her daughter to embrace prayer. Rebecca would always smile and jokingly tell her mother that she had allowed her mind to be permeated too much by those fairy tales she was very fond of reading when she was younger.

Rebecca's mother would insist, saying, "Everything you see people enjoying in the physical realm is either the result of prayers they prayed or some other spiritual practices." No matter how much Rebecca's mother tried to impress that reality upon her daughter, Rebecca clung to her logical mindset, believing only in the virtue of work, hard work, nothing more and nothing less.

However, something in the restaurant where she worked with Jane caught Rebecca's attention. Jane was not that hardworking and, among all the waitresses, she was almost the only one who went home every day with the highest tips. Every client who came in seemed strangely attracted to her and would be extravagantly generous toward her. Whenever Jane's friends teased her about the secret behind such success, she would invariably answer, "It is grace, nothing else."

The situation continued like that for a while until one fateful day.

Before they started their duties one evening, Jane entered the ladies' restroom, brought out from her bra a sachet from which she poured some powder into her hand, and started pronouncing what sounded like an incantation before rubbing it on her face. A colleague who happened to be nearby, unknown to Jane, witnessed the scene and recorded a video. When she later shared it with the other waitresses, they finally understood the origin of what Jane had been calling "grace" all along.

After pondering the situation, Rebecca was stunned, and the words of her mother began echoing in her mind: "This world is spiritual, and you need to embrace prayer if you want sustainable changes to occur in your life." She needed no further evidence to understand the relevance of her mother's invitation to pray. From that day on, Rebecca took her spiritual life more seriously and began experiencing testimony after testimony.

Beloved, please note that what you are going through today is a result of the prayers you prayed, the prayers that someone prayed on your behalf, or the prayers that you failed to pray . Please do not take prayer lightly. It is a powerful weapon that you can use to improve your present and shape your future, as well as that of your loved ones.
