A couple once came for prayer because their home had been turned to a battle ground. When they came, the Lord asked if I knew why they were fighting, I said no. The Lord then asked me to tell them to go and check their wedding presents. Then I asked them if they had ever looked through all the wedding presents they received at their wedding. They had been married for five years and most of the presents they received that day were just put in a store and they never went there.
When I told them, they went home and brought out all unopened presents and began to open them. Then they got to a particular one with the skeleton of a big snake neatly wrapped in the gift box. The demonic snake had been with them for five odd years.
A final year student of mathematics was once brought mad to our church. She was alright before she went to bed, but the next day, she woke up stark mad. While the parents fretted and cried, the Lord told the pastor that the case needed no prayer. The pastor asked the Lord why and God said, “Simply ask the father of the girl to go to his own father, in the grandfather’s room, there is a coffin buried there; tell him to bring out the coffin and open it and the girl will be well.”
While the Lord spoke to the pastor, the father of the girl was still busy crying, expecting the pastor to pray for the girl, but the paster simply told the man what the Lord had said to him. Fortunately, the man’s father lived within the same city. When he met the old man, the man told him about his daughter’s condition.
Alarmed, the old man asked, “Have you taken her to the doctor?”
The man said they had and that none could help them, hence they took the girl to a church for prayer. “And how much has that helped her?” The old man wanted to know. “The church even said prayer is not what she needs to get well.” Replied the girl’s father.
“But what?” Asked the old man.
“And that is what has brought me here.” Replied the father.
“And what is that?” Asked the old man.
The Pastor says there is a coffin buried inside this room, that if it is exhumed, Esua will get bell.”
The old man looked at his son in disbelief and at last, asked him to describe the pastor who had just told him this. The description the man gave seemed to strike a recognition cord in his father’s mind. “That pastor?” he asked, “I know him”. The man thereafter went ahead to bring out the small coffin and opened it, after which the brother left.
By the time he got back to the church, his daughter was already drinking beverage, chatting and joking with everyone around, but then, without the disclosure of the truth about her background, her destiny would have been destroyed by a man who did not want to die on time and wanted to use Esua’s life to prolong his own.
There are many dead people walking around. By God’s arithmetic, they never showed up on earth. They are present, but absent! They are right here on earth, but they have not shown up and beloved, you hardly meet real people. This is the truth. Most people you meet are people who became what they are because people said that is what they should be. Which means that most people are what others say they are, and not what God says they are.
